Once the sun is below the horizon, we will begin a stroll through the beautiful sidewalks along buffalo bayou. Photographying the nicely lit waterway, bridge ways of I-45 above us and the Aquarium Farris wheel. You will benefit from bringing a Wide angle lens (below 50mm), a tripod to help stabilize the camera for slow shutter speeds, and a remote if you own one. Parking at Sabine St. Bridge is limited so you should plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early to find parking and so we can all talk about our camera settings beforehand. MORE DETAILS

  1. Thanks Lana for a great evening – that was fun!

  2. Hi Lana,
I don’t see the option for Workshop Materials Packet to print out .
    Please advise.

    1. Hello Tri, There are no notes for this excursion. If you are referring to the Composition workshop… I will be emailing those notes sometime today

      1. Thanks

  3. Hi Lana! Is this class rain or shine? Thanks!

    1. I will reschedule the Excursion in the event of rain. Rain and digital cameras don’t go together very well =) I am keeping my eye on the weather and will let everyone know via email by Friday.

  4. I would like for my husband to join me on this excursion, not as a photographer, but as a companion/chaperone … I don’t like going downtown by myself. Would this be possible? Would I have to pay even though he would be a spectator?

    1. Hello Karen, this is fine. For most excursions you are allow to bring one non-participating guest with you. This information can be found in the “MORE DETAILS” Section for each excursion.

      1. Non-participating guests are N/C correct?

Another question, my wide angle lens is a Tokina, 11-20mm F2.8, this will work right? Or should I bring my 70-200 F2.8?

I’m excited! I’m also planning on signing up for the Outdoor Portrait Workshop 🙂

        1. No need to pay for your guest unless they will be participating with their camera at which point they should pay for their attendance.

  5. Lana-
Is there absolutely no way I can get in on this excursion???

    1. Sales for all excursions open 15 days prior to the Excursion
