Workshop Description
This is a 3-hour, in-studio workshop where you will learn how to setup and use a photography studio. Studio lighting equipment will be discussed and demonstrated. Multiple lighting effects will be achieved with the used of studio strobes, light modifiers, light ratios, controlled lighting and artistic skill to enhance photographic imagery. You will also learn the importance and role that each light plays in the studio. We will be talking a lot about manual photography, your lens, hand-held light meters and a few other pieces of equipment that will be your best friend in the studio. If you are not familiar with manual photography do not worry! We will walk through it step by step and you will find that manual photography is quite easy when it comes to studio photography in particular.

Expect a somewhat of a slow paced workshop because 20 different people will be taking turns taking pictures at the same time in a studio set up. Every moment of the workshop will be captivating so don’t expect to be bored either!

Bring your camera with you! It is also suggested that you bring a telephoto lens that will let you zoom in to the 70mm-100mm range.  A 50mm prime lens (the type of lens that doesn’t zoom in and out) will also do well although the telephoto lens is optimal
