The first 2.5-hours of the Workshop is a lecture styled discussion on the use of camera settings, equipment, and composition techniques to achieve the best results. You will also learn how to overcome typical frustrations of bright windows, bad coloration, focus problems and exposure for indoor and outdoor shots. Once the lecture is done you will be given a 1-hour lunch break. The last 2.5-hours of class consists of a hands-on tutorial on how to manage your real estate photographs using 2 different softwares…PhotoMatix and Lightroom. If you come to class with your laptop and these softwares installed, you are welcome to get hands-on by taking part in actively editing pictures within these softwares. Here you will learn how to Merge HDR images in Photomatix to create dynamic exposures, and complete the final touches including basic brightness, contrast, cropping, and resolution adjustments to comply with HAR image upload standards.

Topics Covered: White balance/color correction, HDR, bright windows, lenses, focus, equipment, editing with Lightroom, editing with Photomatix

  1. I have a Macbook Air and Microsoft Surface Pro, should I subscribe to Lightroom Yearly subscription and down it to both devices? It cost $119/year

I’m also seeing Adobe Creative Cloud Photography plan with 20 GB (Photoshop + Lightroom) Yearly subscription for the same price of $119/year

I’m not sure the pros/con between the two to choose? Please give me some suggestions!

    Pierre Yu

    1. When signing up for LIghtroom, I recommend the basic Package which includes Photoshop, Lightroom CC, and Lightroom Classic. This should cost approx $119/year and I believe it comes with 20BG of cloud space. Make sure to install Lightroom Classic specifically. You can download the software to either of your devices. Purchasing PhotoMatix Software should be a one time purchase of $100 for the software.

  2. Hi – I signed up for this workshop last year but could not attend. I have a credit with you for the class. I would like to use the credit for this class. Is that possible? Thanks, Ethelyn

    1. Sure, you are more than welcome to apply your credit to this class. I just email you the code you can use to reschedule for this class.
