DESCRIPTION: This is a 4-hour workshop that begins in the classroom with an in-depth look at exposure. The concept of metering and exposure can be tricky, but once you have a grasp this concept it will solidify everything you know in photography. In this workshop you will learn how to manage your camera’s metering system and gain maximum control over your exposures. By understanding the depths of exposure and metering, you can creatively break outside the box to make dynamic lighting decisions that will help you solve any difficult lighting scenario. The first 1.5-hour will consist of a classroom discussion that will delve into this imperative cornerstone of knowledge. Afterward we will head over to the Cockrell Butterfly Center to practicing the principles of metering hands-on. The butterfly center is the perfect place to put your knowledge to the test and encounter some beautiful subjects as well. Your admission to the Butterfly Center Admission is provided for you. Free parking at the Butterfly Center is limited so you will be responsible for any parking fees you may incur. Please see the Cockrell Butterfly Center website for more information: http://www.hmns.org/cockrell-butterfly-center/
